After being over 300 pounds at my highest weight with multipleco-morbidities, and trying every diet out there, I started to believe being at a healthy weight was an impossible goal for me. Thanks to the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy I underwent in October 2021, I now weigh less than I did in high school and all the co-morbidities are resolved. I view this surgery not as a stand alone solution but as a very valuable tool in my journey to a healthier me. This doesn't mean it was easy; I had to completely change my eating and exercise habits for good, but it's so worth it.
